Suspected militants on Monday killed two police officials in different areas of Quetta.
"Unknown miscreants opened fire at a police constable in the Killi Deba area of Quetta," said police officials. They added the constable died on the spot.
In another incident, suspected militants opened fire near the Passport Office area and killed another police official on duty.
The attackers managed to escape from the scene in both cases, with police officials terming the incidents as acts of target killings.
Both attacks took place with in a span of two hours.
The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital Quetta for postmortem.
Balochistan has been experiencing incidents of violence and targeted killings for over a decade. The largest province of the country by area, is home to a insurgency by ethnic Baloch separatists.
Al Qaeda-linked and sectarian militants also operate in the region. The province shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran.
