BEIJING: Condemning the Sehwan terrorist attack, China on Friday offered its support to Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
“We express deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved,” said spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Geng Shuang at a regular press briefing.
China will continue to support Pakistan’s efforts to fight terrorism, maintain national stability and protect public safety, he added.

I think we as a Nation still lack clarity about terrorism and certainly don't have 100% commitment to fight it. In this scenario not even our time tested friends can help us unless we know first what help we need.

Let's outsource it, as all we hear from our 'law enforcement' agencies terrorism has been crushed but in reality it's on the rise.

China has done well internally to check religious extremism. The Chinese government has also imposed steep fines on the use of mobile phones and the Internet to disseminate religious messages that ‘undermine national unity’ in the volatile Uighur region of Xinjiang in western China.

Indeed a good gesture..They want to safe guard their interest..But unfortunately we don't..Where all are guilty, no one is; confessions of collective guilt are the best possible safeguard against the discovery of culprits, and the very magnitude of the crime the best excuse for doing nothing. So let us do somethong...

And how does China internationally "defending" a person who was released after a terror highjack of plane help fight terror?
One wonders the weight of the word "fight against" coming from this statement.

East India company was initially here for business, then they started keeping a company battalion in each province to safeguard their investments, provide military expertise against insurgencies and for internal security. Soon they'd permanent bases and small kingdoms under their debt burdens. How the story went is general knowledge. Question is if the lesson is learnt or the experience is going to be repeated again.

It would seem that most people do not have faith in police, may be police work can be out sourced to Chinese, and have them support Pak Army to fight this menace. Also the Chinese may feel comfortable about law and order situation and they may invest more money in Pakistan, helping raise standard of living and prosperity, and peace.
