RAWALPINDI: The National Highway Authority (NHA) awarded the contract of revamping Potohar Avenue from Kutchery Chowk to T-Chowk Rawat to the National Logistics Cell (NLC).

The contractor has been tasked to beautify the road.

According to officials of the district administration, the NLC will supervise the project to improve the condition of roads and all civic agencies will coordinate with it in this regard.

They said Nespak would be entrusted the task to make the designs of water drains and installation of louvres and masking of areas.

They said horticulture would be the responsibility of the NLC, adding that the administration had asked the National Logistics Cell to make an economical plan, which would be executed through a professional firm while maintenance would be distributed to various housing agencies located on both sides of the avenue.

The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) administration will coordinate with them, the officials added.
