CHENNAI, July 7: The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has allotted 7th Men's Asia Cup to India which will be held here from Sept 1-9. The significance of this Cup is that the FIH will take this tournament for world ranking, a release from Indian Hockey Federation said on Saturday.

All matches will be played under FIH tournament regulations, governing two pool competitions with classification matches.

The FIH/AHF approved following pools for the Asia Cup:

Pool A: Korea, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Sri Lanka.

Pool B: India, Japan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand. —PPI
