Imperialism behind terror: Palijo

Published September 23, 2008

HYDERABAD, Sept 22: Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo has said that imperialism has killed no less than 100 million people throughout the world during the last 70 years and turned this planet into a virtual hell.

He was speaking at the concluding session of a three-day educational workshop organised by Rasool Bux Palijo Academy in Paban on Sunday. The subject of the workshop was “The role of Marxism and Leninism in the transformation of the world”.

He held imperialism squarely responsible for lawlessness, terrorism and economic deprivation. Socialism is the only ideology which has freed the people who had been enslaved for thousands of years and opened new vistas of development, Palijo said. He said the salvation of the human race and world peace depended on socialism.—Bureau
