SC asks Altaf to file affidavit over ’95 murder of brother, nephew
The Supreme Court has asked Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain to submit an affidavit by Dec 21 to help it initiate proceedings in a case pertaining to the murder of his brother and nephew in 1995, the party’s parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar told Dawn on Saturday.

Govt gets three days to decide Afaq’s plea against detention
The Sindh High Court directed on Friday the provincial authorities to decide the application against the detention of Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) chairman Afaq Ahmed under the much-reviled public order law within three days and place the order to this effect in court for a judicial review.

Notices issued on Afaq plea against Muttahida chief
The Sindh High Court on Tuesday put the federal and provincial law officers and the Sindh prosecutor general on notice in a petition seeking registration of a case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain and other top party men for killing two workers of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) and attempting to kill its chairman, Afaq Ahmed.
