Turbat is the second largest city of Balochistan with a population of almost 700,000 and 38 union councils. It has only three colleges for boys and one college for girls, which are obviously not enough.
I would like to request the education minister of Balochistan to provide enough educational institutes to us so that we can get educated and do something for ourselves and our country.

Reality vs show time
A lot has been said about the effects of media on children. I would also like to share my views on it. Children very easily tend to identify with whatever enamours them. These children can create very embarrassing and difficult social situations. By spending most of the time in front of the TV, the youngsters are distracted from their studies and they easily tend to memorise the dialogues of TV serials and common advertisements rather than their school lessons.
Moreover, a child loses the true essence of his/her family values, culture, language, traditions and starts behaving in such a way as to imitate each and everything that is being telecast on different TV programmes. Today’s youngsters are clever and they quickly adapt to even the slightest change they see on television. They think about it day and night, and follow their favourite characters, be they good or bad.
So I would like to request all the parents to keep a vigilant eye on their children and see that the TV programmes they are watching are not destructive for their personality. Only this way we can create a civilised society.

Save the Earth!
Save the Earth! Global Warming, a threat to all! Ozone layer in danger! You must have read these headlines somewhere, maybe in newspapers or probably in some book. Being a teenager, it must sound boring to you. But once you actually know what the real problem is, you wouldn’t have that happy-go-lucky attitude anymore.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if the Earth was destroyed? The questions are limitless but the answers are simple. The Earth really is in danger and whether you like it or not, if people don’t do anything then the Earth might be destroyed.
Global warming is a problem that is now becoming severer. It is caused by pollution. It is a major problem that leads to the breakage of the ozone layer. The ozone layer is a layer in the atmosphere that prevents the ultra violet rays of the sun from reaching the Earth.
But fortunately there is a way to control this. You just need to stop using products that contain CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) like deodorants, etc. People should try to lessen the use of transport.
Another way of reducing pollution is to plant more trees; if trees are cut similar number of tree should be planted to make up for their loss.
People say that the youth of today can change the future of tomorrow. So why don’t we, the youth, create awareness among others so that the world can be a better place to live.

Street lights
Load-shedding is a major problem in our country and the government is taking various measures to save electricity. But one thing that the government is not paying attention to is the street lights. In many areas of Karachi, street lights are left turned on during the day time when they are not needed at all.
So, I would like to request the concerned authorities to pay attention to this matter as street lights consume a lot of electricity and if they are turned on and turned off at the right time, we can save electricity and get rid of the problem of load-shedding as well.
