HYDERABAD, Dec 8 The chairman of the Sindh Taraqi Passand Party, Dr Qadir Magsi, has called on the leaders of Pakistan and India to evolve a joint strategy to eliminate terrorism in the region instead of issuing threats to each other.
He was addressing party workers at the Taraqi Passand House here on Monday.
Dr Magsi said that it was sheer madness to talk about war as any aggression would not only destroy peace of the two countries but would also affect the entire region.
He said both the countries were nuclear powers and they must realise the consequences of war.
He reminded leaders of the two countries that the majority of their people were living in abject poverty and they were committing suicides due to hunger and unemployment and were even forced to sell their children.
He said that terrorists had neither any nationality nor any religion.
He said instead of becoming pawns on the chessboard of world powers, leaderships of the two countries should join hands not only in eliminating terrorism but also in ending poverty.
