ISLAMABAD, May 8 World No.15 Pakistan's Aamir Atlas Khan will defend his title and will also be the top seed at the seventh Chief of Army Staff (COAS) squash championship getting underway with a pre-qualification round at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Saturday.
The championship carries a prize money of Rs400,000 for men and Rs100,000 for women. Maria Toor is women's top seed.
The main round of the event will be starting from Tuesday with the semi-finals scheduled for May 14 and the final for May 15.
Besides Aamir Atlas Khan, some of the other notable players who have directly qualified for the main draw are Farhan Mehboob, Yasir Butt, Amjad Khan, Waqar Mehboob, Mansoor Zaman, Aaqib Hanif, Owais Khan, Shoaib Hassan, Safeerullah Khan and Kashif Khan.—APP
