KARACHI, Aug 29 Teenager Daniyal Mansoor showed all-round prowess to help UBL Staff beat Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) by 40 runs in the fourth UBL Gold Cup Ramazan Twenty20 cricket tournament at the UBL Sports Complex here on Friday.

Daniyal, son of former Pakistan batsman Mansoor Akhtar who now heads the UBL Sports Department, scored 21 and captured a couple of wickets in the low-scoring encounter.

Having opted to bat first, UBL made 144 for seven with Tariq Iqbal contributing 54 off 38 balls (four sixes and two fours).

For RBS, Salman Sarwar Butt, Adnan Khan and Raheel Waris evenly shared six wickets.

RBS, in reply, were dismissed for 104 in the 19th over. Shiraz Ahmed struck five boundaries in his top-score of 35 off 19 balls.

Sharib, Daniyal Mansoor, Fahad Hussain and ex-Test slow left-armer Masood Anwaar took two wickets each.

Daniyal won the Man-of-the-Match award.
