ATTOCK, Dec 3 As many as 175 computer labs established at government high schools in the district started functioning on Thursday.

Speaking at an inauguration ceremony of a computer lab at the Government Girls High School, People's Colony, MPA Malik Zahoor Awan said that 4,286 computer labs had been established under the chief minister's programme to ensure provision of information technology (IT) education to 3.4 million students in 36 districts of Punjab.

Under the programme, each school has been provided with 15 latest computers along with furniture and air-conditioners for the computer labs, he added.

Mr Awan said the Punjab government had allocated maximum funds for the uplift of education sector and provision of computer labs in all government schools.
