KARACHI, March 18 Teenager Anns Ali displayed sterling performance when he sneaked into two finals of the second Essa Mohammad ranking table tennis tournament at the PSB Coaching Centre on Wednesday evening.

Anns bulldozed Zaid Alvi 11-4, 10-12, 11-4, 11-6, 11-4 to advance into boys' under-15 final where he meets Danyal Mazhar who edged past Hamza Ahmed 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9 in the second semi-final.

Continuing his winning run, Anns blanked Hamza Ahmed 11-5, 11-1, 11-8, 11-3 to ease into the men's under-18 final. He is slated to meet Ahmed Aslam for the title clash after the latter overcame Akbar Shah 11-7, 13-15, 11-7, 11-6, 12-10 in the other match.

The five-day event concludes on Friday with men's and women's singles finals.
