ISLAMABAD Aamir Atlas Khan on Friday lifted the Pakistan Squash Federation International Circuit-II Championship trophy, displaying a fast game and better fitness against Farhan Mahboob at the Mushaf Squash Complex.

Aamir, ranked 22 in the world, proved too good for his opponent in the 33-minute decider, winning it 11-6, 11-6 and 11-9.

He made a good start right from the first game gaining few quick points.

Farhan, currently ranked at No. 45 in the world squash ranking table, lost several points by hitting the tin.

“I cashed in on Farhan's lopsided game and I am quite fit,” said Aamir, after winning the final.

Aamir, said that his next target was Malaysian Open where he was confident of reaching the main stage.

“All my energies and focus is now on the Malaysian Open and I am hopeful to create an upset in the tournament” he claimed.

“I played more overhead shots while quick moves helped me a lot against Farhan,” he added.
