GILGIT, Sept 15: Parliamentarians, politicians and cross section of society condoled the death of Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Dr Wazir Shamma Khalid who died in Karachi on Wednesday.

Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the governor and described it a great loss. He commended the services of late governor for the area.

“My thoughts are with the bereaved family during this time of loss,” he said in a condolence message to the bereaved family.

Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Speaker Wazir Baig also expressed sorrow and grief over the demise of the first lady governor of Gilgit-Baltistan. In his condolence message, the speaker conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the members of bereaved family.

Adviser to the Chief Minister Saadia Zia also expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow over the demise of the governor.

In his condolence message, the advisor conveyed his heart-felt condolences and sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.

Saadia Zia appreciated the invaluable contributions of late governor for strengthening the democratic institutions in the region and well being of the people which would long be remembered. She said that late governor was widely respected among the political and social circles.
