LAHORE, Nov 20: A Federal Investigating Agency (FIA) team on Saturday registered a case against the National Insurance Company's former chief and 11 others for purchasing another piece of land measuring over 20 kanal near Lahore airport for Rs1,070 million, a price much higher than the usual.

“This is another NICL scam in which we have registered a case against the company's chief Ayaz khan Niazi, Mohsin Warraich, Ameen Dada, Javaid Syed and eight other alleged culprits,” an FIA source told .

He said prior to this the FIA had registered a case against these accused for allegedly buying 803 kanal land worth billions for the NICL on higher rates. “Ayaz, Mohsin, Ameen and Javaid Syed have already been declared proclaimed offenders by the FIA in the first NICL scam and the efforts to arrest them are underway,” he added.

He said the FIA had so far arrested eight accused in this case and it had also got red warrants issued through Interpol for the arrest of Mohsin Warraiach from Dubai.
