KARACHI, Jan 20: The SSB Inter-school Matric/O level (boys) Basketball Championship begins at PSB Coaching Centre on Friday with a record number of 29 institutions vying for honours.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto High School, Mirpurkhas, is the only outstation team that has been accommodated in the draws.

The teams have been divided into eight groups and all the group champions will qualify for the quarter-finals.

The event is being held under the aegis of Karachi City District Basketball Association in collaboration of Sindh Sports Board and Sindh Basketball Association.

A: The City School PAF Chapter, Jaffer Public School, The Indus Academy, Beaconhouse School PECHS.

B: Shahwilayat School, Bahria Model School No 2, Fahim’s School, The AMI School.C: Foundation Public School, Qamar Bani Hashim School, The City School PECHS, SZAB High School Mirpurkhas.

D: The City School Darakshan Campus, I-Lead City Model School, Generation School.

E: Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus, Bulandi School Complex, The City School Gulshan, SOS I-Lead School.

F: Karachi Public School, The City School N. Nazimabad, Bahria Model School No 1.

G: Happy Home School, Bahria Model School Karsaz, Beaconhouse School N. Nazimabad.

H: Bay View Academy, St. Michael’s School, The Washington International School, Bahria Model School (Sabir).
