A methane gas explosion in a coal mine in the Sorrange area, near Quetta, Balochistan, killed 45 miners while some others are still believed to be trapped underground. Officials on Monday stated that it needed a “miracle” to find any survivors. The mine, located in the far-flung Sorrange region of the troubled southwestern province, was poorly ventilated, allowing poisonous gases to accumulate and trigger blasts which led to the collapse on Sunday, officials said.

As much as ludicrous it my look, I've to ask, why're they holding guns? To deter what? Can our soldiers display anything apart from flexing their muscles? For God's sake, it's a rescue operation to recover people who are trapped, not kidnapped!!!
