Floods are not uncommon in Pakistan, a country that oscillates from extreme flooding to extreme drought. Why is there no lan for diversion channels and increased storage capacity to capitalize on these floods and use the water for future use??? Millions of tons of farm soil is washed into the sea by poor flood management. There are alternatives to begging between floods and drought.

Government doesn't accept responsibility. They're simply rent seekers, living off the top. The people have no say. They've been living like this for centuries. You would expect, looking at the beautiful homes in slide 3, the people would insist on their say, but the mafia that runs Pakistan is just too strong. The US wants to give billions to help the common people. I'd say this was a great project to put money into.

I fully second this opinion if only we could be more proactive there could be good irrigation system, even now through proper planning this water can be directed to drought areas and we can capitalize on this situation. We can also provide job opportunities to these flood victims and get them start working on rehabilitation of their homes.
God helps those who help themselves, instead of begging from the whole world its time we stand on our own. We have ample amount of natural resources and only if we manage them effectively we can become the best in agricultural and industrial sector both.

I am no expert and under normal conditions, I would hesitate to offer an opinion on a contentious issue, but the plight of the poor Sindhis has forced me to do so. I think the floods could have been avoided to a large extent if the Kalabagh dam had been allowed to be built. Technical discussions and engineering solutions have taken a second pace to petty politics. I would request the politicians and the so-called leaders to put aside their objections and work towards a long term solution to this very distressing problem

The condition of peoples of Sanghar is very critical ,till today no any major intervention done , only Muslim Aid in Sanghar from day first , and i really appreciate.
on govt side no any proper action taken till today ,how sad to know that first cluster group is organize just now.
the effort of pphi is also encouraging although they are not entertain for these emergency activities.
