ISLAMABAD: The spirit of law has not been followed in the appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), said Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday.

Speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly he said the meaningful consultation of the opposition and chief justice of Pakistan has also not been done in the case of NAB chairman appointment.

He, however, lauded some initiatives of the government including the appointment of leader of the opposition as chairman Public Account Committee (PAC).

He also criticised the decision to grant two days holidays. He urged the House to initiate good traditions.
