KOHAT, Nov 29: The body of a policeman, who went missing two days ago, was found in the mountains of Ghorazai area here on Tuesday.

Police sources said that constable Abdul Waris Khan was deputed at the Ustarzai checkpost from where he went missing. His body had a bullet hole in the head, they added.

The people of Ghorazai village informed police about the presence of the body of the constable in the mountains.

A team of Gumbat police station reached the area and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. The doctors said that the policeman was shot in the head pointblank.

Police handed over the body to the relatives and lodged report on the complaint of the deceased's brother Abdul Mutlib.

Meanwhile, police arrested 46 persons and impounded their vehicles for violating ban on pillion riding on Tuesday.

They were produced in a court of law after registration of cases against them under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code and were sent to prison.
