Great discovery, Scientists should keep in mind and all theories are ever changing so If want to study universe, we should not make any discovery/theory our belief otherwise we cannot travel at right path of knowledge. Just look at atom and sub atomic particles whose studies take centuries to reveal by generations of scientists, how can we talk about God who created universe beyond our imagination. I am Molecular Biologist and Biology needs advancement in Physics research to explain and develop new cell and evolutionary theories, the answer may be hidden in subatomic particles and then energy and then metaphysics.

I agree with you Jonah -- world was not created by Big Bang which is not fact only theory -- the 'fact' is God created the world in 7 days 5000 years ago -- made Eve from the rib of Adam -- only to overpopulate the world in less than 5000 years. Unlike Mohammed Hassan -- Jonah is definitely not illiterate. God is great.

I agree how can you call it a God Particle when God has created it. A particle cannot be God, Now "Mr. Scientifically Correct and possibly Religious", how did the god-damn particle become a particle.

They are still not sure that, thay have found or not higgs particle and history of religion started with first man on earth. Science is just following steps in sequence, and science is blessed, because they are are discovering things on the name of so called "God's Particle". Try to find your creator, science can only help.

Collaborating with Indian physicist Jogesh Pati, he proposed the Pati-Salam model in 1974. This team work that Salam, along with Weinberg and Glashow American physicists was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics in 1979. Many physicists of the world worked on this project, Ultimately European scientists developed the internet. Bravo to all the relent team members.

Higgs is called 'God particle' -- it is the creator of all particles -- it makes matter a matter -- no Higgs no matter -- Higgs lives in the empty space between subatomic particles that get mass going through Higgs as molasses. You say -- Higgs could not exist since God did not mention it. Well you should hold your horses because the Holy Quran does mention the UNSEEN world of Jinns and Hamzads -- the only way they could be unseen if they are made of empty spaces filled with Higgs particle -- so God may have hinted in Holy Quran that HE has made an unseen world of Jinns out of the Higgs particles -- a duplicate world of empty spaces separate from the material world. I will suggest another possibility for Higgs -- our literature talks about about our Hamzads a quaint concept -- we may all have a Hamzad twin made of Higgs particles for every one of us -- that we call our CONSCIENCE - who knows. I hope you are not confused anymore.

The Higgs particle is the mother of all subatomic particles - conferring on them mass weight and boundaries - without Higgs nothing could exists no shape could form for the matter - no empty space could exist to shape the matter -the 'empty' space is not empty it is composed of Higgs particles and Higgs field - it forms the scaffold on which matter rests itself - it keeps matter bound together - in fact the so called empty space should be called Higgs space.

The big bang occurred about 14 billion years ago and from that the beginning of universe started. according to all religions God knows and creates everything. How come God started to give advice to people that he was their creator only 5000 years back when the first religions began. Did he forget for so long before. Cannot be that. God is a creation of man to rule and create fear in the minds of illiterate ancient populations who never dared ask any questions. Higgs Boson has proved how the universe started and expanded. Give more years and science will answer many other questions. How come all the religious leaders and priests and mullas go to hospital when they are sick and dying using all medicines created by science. If they are so sure of God prayer will heal them.

Because death is inevitable. You need to brush up on your history, Religion was not founded 5000 years ago and Big Bang is a theory not a fact and could very well be Big Blunder. Let us not forget that Jesus is a born son of God. The man came from evolution of the monkeys. The Eve was separated from the rib of Adam. Same way a Higgs particle is basic particle of all the creations of God every where.

everything is happing from one Allah... it is Allah who created the universe... it is also Allah who is disclosing all secrets of universe...

All this space was squeezed into the singularity that exploded as the Big Bang 13.7 billions years ago. Before that there no time no space. Now the cosmologist are coming with the idea of not universe but multiverse.
