SNIFFER dogs are in many cases used to detect crimes like theft and defiance goods. Do they really help in detection? I doubt, rather strongly disagree with those who do believe in their usefulness.

A person’s home was where most of his relatives found safe haven to store their gold ornaments. They were stolen. A report was recorded with the police, and sniffer dogs were hired for more than Rs20,000. The dogs sniffed and reached the residence of an innocent family that resulted in a lot of embarrassment. The family was innocent, and were known in our locality for their good character, integrity, honesty but the repeated visits of the dogs to their house unnecessarily placed them in trouble, and doubtful in the eyes of the people of the locality.

Although many people thought that they were the culprits, they proved innocent after some days when the actual culprits were identified.

I would like to request the police not to use sniffer dogs for the detection of such crimes.
