The court moreover sent three others accused in the case — Siraj Talpur, his brother Sajjad Talpur and their servant Ghulam Murtaza Lashari — to the central jail in Karachi where they have so far been scheduled to stay until Jan 29.

The four accused are scheduled to be produced before the court again on Jan 30.

Twenty-year-old Shahzeb Khan was gunned down in Dec 2012 within the remit of the Darakhshan police station and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken a suo motu notice of the murder.

Shahrukh Jatoi, the Talpur brothers and their house servant Lashari had been booked and arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder.
