ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) retired Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim and the four members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will visit Quetta on Thursday to meet leaders of political parties in Balochistan, informed sources told Dawn.

Matters relating to the coming elections and ways of making the electoral process more transparent will come under discussion during the visit.

Besides holding talks with political leaders, including Sardar Akhtat Mengal, the CEC and his team will also discuss security arrangements during the elections with senior officials of law enforcement agencies.
