SUKKUR, April 14: The Sukkur chapter of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl on Sunday decided to part ways with the  10-party alliance in Sukkur and contest general elections independently.

The decision was taken at a meeting of local party leaders at Madressah Jamia Hammadia Manzil Gah here.

JUI-F leader Moulana Abdul Qayoom Halejvi, Agha Syed Ayoob Shah and Moulana Saleh Indhar expressed annoyance over attitude of some parties in the anti-PPP alliance and said the party had decided to quit it because some parties were not in favour of seat adjustment with the JUI-F.

They claimed that the JUI-F was in a better position to win election with majority.
