This was Jinnah’s drawing room

All the furniture in this room – the sofa set and chair, the decoration pieces, the aging carpet – were shifted here from Jinnah’s Delhi house in September 1947.

“Jinnah’s many admirers would come here and present him with gifts,” Wahab says.

A showcase features several showpieces. “These were gifts from all over, from China to Japan; they are gold-plated,” the guide tells us.

“Jinnah was very fond of showpieces,” he adds.
