You are now in the Quaid’s room
The room has a single bed with two nightstands. One has a rotary phone on it; the other has a small picture of Ruttie Jinnah, the Quaid’s late wife. “He would always keep the photo with him,” says Wahab.
Many of Jinnah’s belongings are on display here. His cigar box lies on one table.
On a central table, a Quran made in silver is placed. Members of the Aligarh Muslim League had presented this to him in 1943.
The other end of the room has a box made from ‘kapur’ p-0wood tree. “Whatever documents were placed in the box would remain protected from insects,” alleges Wahab.
A dressing room connects to the bedroom. Here one can see Jinnah’s shoes – an instant reminder of the man’s dapper sense of style.
