In Nawabshah, Pakistan Peoples Party won both national assembly seats and five provincial assembly seats. President Asif Ali Zardari's sister, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, won on Nawabshah-I NA-213 for the third consecutive time, beating her MQM rival. In In NA-214 Nawabshah-II, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah of PPP also won the seat for the third consecutive time, beating his PML-N opponent.
At the same time, the deputy commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad has approached the Sindh home department seeking permission and assistance for deployment of the army in Nawabshah city after law and order took a downturn Saturday onwards - a clash took place between PPP and MQM, leading to three people losing their lives. This includes two MQM workers. More than 12 were injured in the clashes over the last 24 hours. Firing by different groups continued to take place in different parts of the city.
Amir Haider Khan Hoti of the Awami National Party (ANP), has secured a victory from the NA-9 Mardan-1 constituency with 44,704 votes, becoming the first candidate from the party to win a National Assembly seat in this year's general elections.
Chief of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has reportedly alleged rigging in the elections after accepting defeat while also indicating that his party would sit in the opposition benches of the National Assembly.
Khan held the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) responsible for failing to stop the alleged rigging of polls in certain areas.
Moreover, PTI's spokesperson, Dr Shireen Mazari, told media personnel after meeting Imran Khan that he had authorised his party to issue a white paper on the alleged rigging of polls in some constituencies.
Khan has also said his party would form the next government in Khyber Paktunkhwa province after being elected into parliament, where his main opponent conceded defeat.
Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) managed to win a seat each in the National Assembly and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's provincial assembly from Chitral's NA-32 and PK-90 constituency, despite announcing a boycott of 2013 general elections.
APML candidate Shehzada Iftikhar ud Din won the NA-32 seat with 19,938 votes against second-placed Abdul Latif belonging to the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, who had grabbed 16,638 votes.
Moreover Ghulam Mohammad, APML candidate from PK-90, won his seat securing 10,646 against Pakistan Peoples Party candidate who had received 10,524 votes.
Moreover PPP's Saleem Khan with 11,285 votes defeated APML's Shehzada Khalid in PK-89 constituency.
The APML had announced a boycott of the general elections 2013 after the rejection of Musharraf's nomination papers from all provinces and the imposition of a lifetime ban.
The party's candidate from Chitral, Shahzada Iftikhar ud Din, had decided to stay in the field despite the boycott.
The former military ruler is under house arrest on judicial remand at his Chak Shehzad residence, which was declared as a sub-jail, after a bench of the Islamabad High Court rejected the extension of his bail in the judges detention case.
Pervez Musharraf returned to Pakistan on March 23 after more than four years in self-exile to participate in the upcoming elections.
At least one person was killed and eight others injured in a clash between two groups near a District Returning Officer's (DRO) office in Nawabshah.
According to a report, firing took place after the clash due to which one person was killed and eight others were injured.
Following the incident, another clash occurred between police personnel and protesters. Moreover, police detained four of the demonstrators.
The wounded were shifted to People's Medical College in Nawabshah.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif received a call from Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Afghan President Hamid Karzai congratulating him on his early victory in the historic May 11 polls.
Moreover, caretaker prime minister Mir Hazar Khan khoso also telephoned Sharif today to congratulate him.
Partial, unofficial results from Saturday's election showed a stunning comeback for Nawaz Sharif who was earlier deposed as prime minister in a 1999 military coup and spent years in jail and exile.
"We are going to form a national policy to counter terrorism by consulting every political party and different stakeholders to make Pakistan a safer place," said Pervez Rashid, the spokesman for PML-N, while speaking to media personnel in Lahore.
Moreover, he added that they respect every party's mandate in their province and will hold considerations with them.
The ECP has officially announced that re-polling will take place at 43 polling stations in Karachi's NA-250 constituency. Earlier, on Election Day, voting started at several stations in the constituency extremely late, and in one polling station in DHA Phase IV, it did not take place at all.
Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) vice-president Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi lost the elections in NA-148 Multan I constituency to Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, who secured 80,666 votes.
Qureshi was runner-up with 59,731 votes.

The Election Commission of Pakistan officially announced the results of Rawalpindi's NA-56 constituency where Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief beat Pakistan Muslim league - Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Hanif Abbasi.
Imran had secured 79,949 votes followed by Hanif Abbasi at second place with 66,000 votes.
Hanif's other rival, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, had also earlier forfeited his candidature from the constituency in favour of Imran.
Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan suffered an upset defeat in Charsadda's NA-7 constituency at the hands of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl candidate Maulana M Gohar Shah who won with 53,492 votes beating runners-up candidate of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Fazal Muhammad Khan.
Asfandyar managed to secure hardly 2,000 votes, moreover his party has yet to win any National Assembly seat in the elections.

Arrest orders were issued against Muhammad Rafiq, the presiding officer of NA-80 constituency Faisalabad, over doubts about the results submitted by him, according to the Returning Officer of the constituency.
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) candidate Maulana Muhammad Qasim won the NA-10 Mardan-2 constituency securing 22,259 votes against Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) candidate Ali Muhammad who had received 21,149 votes.
At least one person was killed and several others injured in a shoot-out during a clash between supporters of Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) and Awami National Party (ANP) in Mardan's Par Hoti area.
Moreover, several homes of the opponents were burnt following the clash.
Later, a contingent of police personnel arrived at the site of the incident and brought the situation under control.
Pakistan Muslim League - Functional (PML-F) candidate Pir Sadruddin Shah won the NA-235 Sanghar-cum-Mirpurkhas-cum-Umerkot constituency beating Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Shazia Marri.
Shah received 74,600 votes.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif has called a meeting of party leaders in Raiwind as unofficial officials reflected a PML-N majority in the country's historic general elections held on May 11.
The meeting is expected to discuss questions pertaining to government formation and the possibilities of striking alliances with other political parties.
Earlier on Saturday, the Sharif brothers claimed victory in the general elections, announcing that the elder Sharif would stake claim for prime ministership.
Speaking to his supporters in Lahore, Nawaz Sharif thanked the nation for reposing trust in him.
Nawaz Sharif has remained prime minister twice – in 1990 and 1997 – but both of his governments were prematurely dismissed, once by then president Ghulam Ishaq Khan and then in 1999 in a military coup by former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
