KARACHI, March 9 Beecham Hockey Club and United Gymkhana reached the final of the Inter-club Hockey Championship-2009 after beating their respective semi-final opponents at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) on Monday.

Beecham Hockey Club beat Rauf XI 4-2. Former internationals centre-forward Arif Bhopali and left-out Asif Ahmed Khan scored a hat-trick and one, respectively. President, Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) Farooq Khan and right-in Salman Khan scored one each for the losing side.

In the other match, United Gymkhana beat Telecom Gymkhana 2-1. Both the winners' goals were scored by centre-forward Rizwan Khan while centre-forward Farhan Fareed scored Telecom's lone goal.

The matches were supervised by umpires Akhlaq Bokhari, Shahid Maqbool, Hanifuddin and M. Arshad.

Meanwhile, the chief guest on the occasion, Mohammad Sulaiman, divisional head, administration, United Bank Limited (UBL), announced providing the KHA with the winners' and runners-up trophy for the tournament.
