KHAIRPUR, May 2: Four Jagirani tribesmen were killed and one was injured in the jurisdiction of the Baradi Jatoi police station on Friday.

Shaban Jagirani, 35, was killed and Maula Bux injured by Narejo tribesmen while they were working in their wheat fields.

Later, the police recovered the bodies of Nizamuddin Jagirani, Mohammad Ayub Jagirani and Suleman Jagirani from a banana orchard in Tabandi while they were searching the area with the help of local tribesmen on Friday.

The Jagiranis had told the police that two of their tribesmen were missing.

On searching the area the bodies of missing men were found.

TEN INJURED: Ten Panhiyar and Pathan tribesmen were injured in a dispute over a piece of land in the Nara Taluka on Friday.

The names of five injured tribesmen have been ascertained as Laeeq Ali, Ahmed Ali, Sanaullah, Nadir Ali, and Khairpur Mohammad.

All the injured tribesmen have been admitted to a local hospital.

Police have registered two separate cases against 30 tribesmen belonging to both the tribes.

FIRE: Four women received burn injuries and 14 huts were gutted when fire broke out in the Solangi village, near Thari Mirwah, on Friday.

The four women — Sebitan, Panah Khatoon, Gul Bano and Jamal — fell unconscious after being burnt while trying to salvage their household goods. They were taken to a private hospital in Thari Mirwah.

The huts belonged to Ali Raza, Mohammad Ibrahim, Fateh Mohammad, Allah Daad, Mohammad Bux, Abdul Raheem, Ali Nawaz and seven other men whose names could not be ascertained.

At least 800 maunds of wheat grain were reduced to ashes.

The building of the village primary school also caught fire as a result of which its furniture and other valuables were burnt.
