KARACHI, Feb 12 Azeem Yousuf, son of former world champion Mohammad Yousuf, failed to end the jinx, losing the third league match in a row to Haris Nadeem in five frames duel in the 18th Sindh Cup snooker contest at Aly's parlour on Friday.

Azeem was 2-1 up needing one frame to win the match when he saw the lead slipped from his hands eventually losing 2-3 to his opponent.

Haris won the battle 61-22, 54-63, 47-73, 64-14, 53-3.

With three defeats on trot, he is now out of contention to secure a berth in the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, upset galore continued as the sixth seed Irfan Rasheed Khan and seventh seed Naseem Paracha fell victims to their respective opponents.

Unseeded Zulfiqar stunned Irfan 3-0 (65-25, 73-36, 63-24) while Farrukh Usman toppled Naseem 3-1 (82-16, 68-10, 9-71, 72-64).
