NEW DELHI Australian hockey coach Ric Charlesworth believes Pakistan have the ability to spring a surprise when the two sides meet in Commonwealth Games hockey tournament match on Saturday at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium here.

Australia struggled against India in the first half of their 5-2 Commonwealth Games Pool 'A' men's hockey win on Thursday, and he warned Pakistan were as good as their sub-continental neighbours. “India are a very good side as they showed in the first half against us,” Charlesworth said.

“I have watched Pakistan here and they are shap- ing well. I have always loo- ked at this game as probab- ly the toughest in the group.”—PPI
