Al Shahbaz Sports stun DFA Thatta

KARACHI, Jan 13 Al Shahbaz Sports caused a major upset in the NBP Challenge Cup Football Tournament when they beat DFA Thatta, a reasonably stronger outfit, 6-1 at the Colony Sports Football Ground, Malir, on Tuesday.

Akhtar Ali (15th minute), Shah Alam (17th and 37th minutes), left-winger Nooruddin (33rd minute), defender Imran Khan (46th minute) and Mohammad Jahangir (48th minute) scored for Al Shahbaz.

DFA Thatta's consolation goal was scored by their striker Amjad Ali in the 35th minute. —Sports Reporter
