KARACHI, May 14 Dow University, Ziauddin Medical University (ZMU) and Greenwich University advanced to the AKU Inter-university Basketball Championship semi-finals after winning their matches on Wednesday.

Shooting brilliantly, Faisal Masood contributed a massive 26 points and well supported by Zafar Ishaq (17), Aryan Ahmed (16) spearheaded Dow University to a whooping 102-44 victory over Szabist.

Azam Naz (11), Hamza Mohammad (9) performed well for the losers.

Meanwhile, the ZMU outplayed Dawood College 67-31 thanks to a superb show by Jawad Chaudhry (24).

Tahir Ahmed (17) and Shaharyar Ahmed (9) also fared well for the winners.

Tanzil Kafil with 21 points put up a fighting show for Dawood College.

Trio of Ali Ahmed (16), Sajjad Mughal (14) and Abbas (12) enabled Greenwich University to a 57-33 win over the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).

Uzair (11) and Athar Khan (9) were notable scorers for the IBA.—APP
