AKU basketball: Darakhshan campus win

KARACHI, Oct 12 The City School Darakhshan campus whipped Meritorious School Network 50-12 in the sixth AKU Inter-school basketball tournament here on Sunday.

Shaheer Sohail starred in his team's win by contributing with 21 points.

In another match, City's PAF chapter beat Beaconhouse PECHS 48-27.

Ali Gilani top scored with 13 points for the winners. He was supported by Tabish Khaqani and Umer Kasbati, both scored eight points apiece. Ahmed Yousuf (13) and Samad Ali (8) played well for the losers.

Karachi Grammar School routed Generation's School 64-12, thanks to an outstanding show by Arish Saif, who scored 27 points. Mustafa (19) and Mubashir Hussain (10) extended him good support.

CAS School beat British International School 59-38. Mobin Khurram scored a whooping 33.

Pakistan Steel Cadet College defeated Education Bay School 66-13. Mohammad Awais (31) and Kamal Ismail (22) produced an outstanding show for the winners.—APP
