KARACHI, Feb 5 Top seed Agha Bilawal and promising Azeem Yousuf were among the eight cueists who qualified for the upcoming National Junior Snooker Championship from Sindh on Thursday as all of them reached the Sindh Junior Cup quarter-finals at Aly's parlour.

The other six players are Mohammad Fahad, Yasir Khan, Ahsan Raza, Mohammad Ishtiaq, Salman Ahmed and Asadullah Rogatia.

Azeem faced a tough time and recovered from two frames down to inflict a 3-2 defeat on Abdul Basit. The scores were 22-69, 85-25, 35-70, 55-37, 71-17.

The other match which went to full distance was played between Mohammad Fahad and Muneeb Khan which the former won 3-2 (63-23, 43-60, 28-86, 63-51, 76-38).

Last year's runner-up Agha Bilawal, meanwhile, compiled a break of 48 in the first frame to register a straight 58-1, 66-58, 64-18 victory over Sheroz.

The remaining five players also recorded easy wins against their respective opponents.
