The representatives, who appeared before the Chief Election Commissioner of the PHF Rao Iftikhar to submit their complaints in writing, objected that as the national sports policy had been bypassed in the process of the elections, those were unfair.
Former Olympians Tahir Zaman, Naveed Alam and Rasheed-ul-Hasan represented the aggrieved clubs.
Tahir Zaman, also a former national coach, said that as the paid employees of the PHF had played a major role in the elections, therefore, it could not be fair.
“While the same paid employees were election commissioners at various districts, they by themselves were contesting the elections in other districts, which made the entire process doubtful,” he said.
Meanwhile, CEC Rao Iftikhar said that as some clubs had taken their cases to the court of law he could not make any comment on their demand to declare their elections as null and void. However, he said right of the genuine clubs would be given to them.
