KASUR, May 3: A girl was raped while two others were abducted in different parts of the district during the last 24 hours.

Police said a man entered a house and raped a girl at pistol point.

Saddar police have registered a case.

Muhammad Afzal and his three accomplices allegedly abducted a girl from a house at Bohar village, while Yasin and his aides abducted a woman at Ahmadnagar, Pattoki.

Relevant police are investigating.

FOUR INJURED: Four people were injured when a truck they were travelling in plunged into a ditch because of firing by eight robbers on the Head Balokey Road, Phoolnagar, on Saturday.

Reports said a truck (GLT-2190), coming from Serai Mughal, had hardly reached the Head Balokey Road when eight armed men signalled driver Muhammad Yasin to stop.

However, the driver accelerated speed and the robbers opened fire on the truck, bursting one of its tyres. The truck overturned and rolled into a ditch.

Yasin, Muhammad Yousaf and two other truck occupants were grievously injured. They were admitted to a Phoolnagar rural health centre.

The police are looking into the incident.
