SWABI, May 4: The district health officer during a surprise visit suspended four employees of Ghaji Basic Health Unit for their continuous absence from the duty.
Sources in the health department told Dawn on Sunday that the officer had received several complaints from different quarters against four employees that they remained frequently absent from their duty.
In most of the basic health units in the mountainous belt of Gadoon, they said, staff mostly remained absent, which forced patients either to go to Topi civil hospital or the district headquarters hospital.—Correspondent
