Volleyball title for Tigers Club

LAHORE, Dec 9: Tigers Club won the Ramazan Inter-club volleyball title after defeating Muslim Sports by three sets to one in the final at the Iqbal Parks Sports Complex Sunday.

Tigers Club won with the score line of 25-23, 24-26, 25- 19, 25-21.

Losing the first set closely 23-25, Muslim Sports recovered to  win the second set 26-24 after a hard won game to equalise the score 1-1.

In the third set, both the teams put in their best efforts and tried to take the lead from the very beginning, but the Tigers Club’s attacking game with fine combination the opponents flanks and with the help of powerful spikes pierced through the packed defence to eventually win at 25-19 and got a 2-1 lead.

The fourth set, Muslim Sports presented a tough fight and matched  the winners, point to point before giving way the game 25-21 to the Tigers which enabled them to win the final.

Earlier, Griffin Institute beat Sunny Club 25-17 25-19, 25- 23 to earn the third spot.
