SINCE the receipt of the UN report on the murder of Benazir Bhutto there is a debate going on in the press and electronic media about the circumstances and reasons for the murder. Every talk show on various TV channels is highlighting the murder in its own way.

The more talk shows you see, the more confused you are about the mystery of the murder. Every anchor directs the discussion in his way, keeping and safeguarding the interest of their owners.

In view of the confusing state of affairs in the mysterious murder, the government, for reasons best known to it alone, is creating confusion by appointing mini-committees on the issue for specific purposes, instead of appointing a high-powered judicial commission to investigate into the murder.

It will be in the fitness of things that the Supreme Court appoint a high-powered judicial commission on the pattern of the one appointed by the US government in the case of the assassination of John F. Kennedy so as to exercise its extraordinary jurisdiction and bring the culprits to book.
