NA- 57 Attock-I: A tough contest is expected among three heavyweights - Malik Amin Alsam of the PTI, Sheikh Aftab of the PML-N and Major (retired) Tahir Sadik of his own group.

Interestingly, the PPP has allotted ticket to Pakistan Aman Party chief Haji Mohammad Gulzar from Rawalpindi district due shortage of any potential candidate here this time.

NA-58 Attock-II: Among the five aspirants, Malik Suhail of the PTI is a strong candidate who had earlier faced Mr Pervez Elahi on the PML-N ticket in 2008 but later joined the PTI.

Now he is ready to give a tough fight to Malik Itabar of the PML-N, who is first time contesting the elections. In 2008, Mr Itabar had won PP-19 Attock-V on the ticket of the PML-Q. Mr Tahir is also in the run and expecting to cause a big upset for both the PTI and the PML-N. The PPP has not fielded any candidate in the constituency.

NA-59 Attock-III: Eight candidates are face to face in this constituency in which former state minister Sardar Saleem Hydar of the PPP is trying to retain the seat.

He is expected to get a tough contest from newcomer, Zain Elahi, son of Mr Tahir Sadik.

The PTI’s candidate ex-MPA Mohammad Ali and PML-N’s Asif Ali Malik, a former MPA and a brother-in-law of PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar, are also in the run but they are not being considered as potential candidates.

NA-60 (Chakwal): Once considered a stronghold of the PML-N, the seat is likely to witness a pitched battle between PML-N’s Tahir Iqbal and Sardar Ghulam Abbas, an independent candidate.

Though PTI candidate Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz is a new entrant to politics he may give a tough time to his opponents because of Imran Khan and Ayaz Amir, who after being denied a ticket by the PML-N is supporting the PTI. The fourth major candidate is Raja Sanaul Haq of the PPP.

NA-61: Though the constituency has been a stronghold of the PML-N, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi of the PML-Q and Sardar Mansoor Hayat Tamman of the PTI are posing serious threats to it now. Mr Tamman enjoys a large vote bank in the area.

Chaudhry Pervez Elahi who has the support of three strong politicians - Sardar Ghulam Abbas, Sardar Faiz Tamman (former MNA of PML-N) and Fauzia Behram (former MPA of PPP) – can give a tough time to PML-N and PTI.
