PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf has nominated Pervez Khattak as chief minister for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, DawnNews reported.

The PTI chairman Imran Khan nominated Khattak for the position. Khan's party has won the largest number of seats for the KPK provincial assembly, with unofficial results suggesting 17 so far.

The PTI chief has said that his party could form a coalition government with any party but not with the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).

The JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has already contacted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif in hopes of forming a coalition government in the province.
