QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominated Nawab Sanaullah Zehri as the parliamentary leader in the Balochistan Assembly on Friday evening.

Former Chief Minister Balochistan, Jan Muhammad Jamali presented the name of Nawab Zehri as the parliamentary leader during a meeting of the parliamentary members.

Zehri was nominated as parliamentary leader by a majority of the PML-N members. A total of 10 members participated in the meeting.

However, an influential MPA from Balochistan’s troubled district of Kohlu, Nawabzada Jangaiz Marri, abstained from the meeting.

Former Chief Minister and newly elected MPA Sardar Saleh Bhootani and other members of the PML-N participated in the meeting.

The PML-N now enjoys the support of 18 members in the house of 65.

The PML-Q and three independents have already backed the future ruling party in the province for the formation of a coalition provincial government.
