MQM stages protests in Karachi and Hyderabad

KARACHI: Supporters of Altaf Hussain staged a sit-in in Karachi's Aisha Manzil area on Sunday whereas the Muttahida Qaumi Movemenet (MQM) took out a rally in Hyderabad city against remarks made by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan against MQM chief Altaf Hussain, DawnNews reported.

Students of different colleges and universities staged a protest in Karachi's Aisha Manzil area and said that the protests would continue until Imran Khan apologised for his remakrs made against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Moreover the MQM took out a rally in Hyderabad in favor of the party chief which culminated at the Hyderabad Press club. A larger number of women and students participated in the rally.

Tires were alos burnt in some areas along the route of the rally.

Imran Khan had blamed the Muttahida Qaumi Movement for the killing of the senior vice-president of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf’s Sindh chapter, Zahra Shahid Hussain, who was killed outside her DHA Phase IV residence on Saturday.
