Probables announced for World Hockey League

LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Thursday announced names of 26 players for attending a training camp scheduled to be held from May 29 to June 15 in Abbottabad in preparation for the Hockey World League to be organised from June 29 at Johar Bahru, Malaysia.

The players will reassemble for another short camp in Karachi’s Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on June 18 before leaving for the event.

The probables will report to head coach-cum-manager and camp commandant Akhtar Rasool on May 29 at the Abbottabad Hockey Stadium.

Probables: Imran Shah, Imran Butt, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Rizwan Senior, Fareed Ahmed, Rashid Mehmood, Mohammad Waqas, Shafqat Rasool, Abdul Haseem Khan, Mohammad Ateeq, Waseem Ahmed, Mohammad Kashif Ali, Shakeel Abbasi, Mohammad Irfan, Mohmmad Salman Hussain, Talal Khalid, Syed Sibtain Raza, Aamir Shehzad, Mohammad Imran Junior, Muzammil Ishaq Bhatti, Kashif Ali, Arslan Qadir, Mohammad Zubair, Zohaib Ashraf, Yasir Shabbir and Ayub Ali.

Team officials: Akhtar Rasool (head coach-cum-manager), Hanif Khan (coach), Ajmal Khan Lodhi (coach), Arshad Hussain (goalkeeping coach), Adnan Zakir (nutritionist), Faiz-ur-Rahman (physiotherapist), Nadeem Khan Lodhi (video-analyst) and Tahir Zaman (consultant).—Sports Reporter
