Faisal Sabzwari decries workers’ killings, alleged rigging

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari on Thursday said his party’s workers were being targeted and killed, adding that conditions may deteriorate if the killings did not stop.
The MQM leader made the above remarks on the floor of the Sindh Assembly where he is his party's parliamentary leader.
Later on, speaking to media representatives, Sabzwari said MQM's vote bank had been sabotaged in order to engineer results in certain constituencies during the May 11 polls, adding that his party had filed cases against rigging in election tribunals.
Sabzwari said MQM was now awaiting justice on part of election authorities and alleged that a number of polling stations in Karachi were being manned by armed men on May 11.
The MQM leader added that his party had provided all details pertaining to rigging to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Sabzwari further said that a conspiracy had been hatched to damage MQM's vote bank and that his party would approach all legal avenues for redress.
The statements came hours after MQM decided to sit on opposition benches in the Sindh and national assemblies and a day after a unit chief of the party was gunned down in Karachi.

Sir,
As a new government is taking charge to run business, I hope all the participants (rulers and oppositions) do their positive role to improve common men's life. If you are fair and faithful with this country then don't say previous government did not do this or that do it yourself , just do free and fair trails to get back our money if you are did not this this is the last chance for you and Pakistan's democracy.

yes that is the pattern.. to extend it further, close to the end of the tenure of assemblies they decide to leave the government; in between, they offer many warning to the coalition partners to leave the government. The question is: Is this is the proper way to conduct political affairs of the largest party in the largest city of Pakistan?

There was so much the MQM could have achieved. They have sat in the lap of every Government since Zia to Zaradri and have not done a damn thing. The only bright star in this whole MQM management team has been Syed Kamal Mustafa. Sabzwari don't whine and make excuses. Just face the fact that the younger generation has understood your way is not the way forward. They are taking charge now and they have dumped you. Soon a newer, more politically efficient MQM will emerge with perhaps more people like Mustfa Kamal at it's head and do something to make Karachi a safer City where there will be Jobs and a better way of life for everyone instead. Sabzwari sahib you reap what you sow.

Sabswari as opposition leader tells us how MQM thinks. MQM didn't even let go the opposition leader's portfolio. And nominated Sabswari to do friendly opposition to PPP. Also both the parties will be ONE when it comes to looting, extortion, land grabbing, and killing.

As you sow so shall you reap. MQM was the very part of the last 2 successive governments in Sindh. Crying foul after having its own Governor at the top for over a decade and virtually ruling Karachi with impunity is a bit shameless.

A judicial commission should look into all the political murders of the last 25 years and punished to the fullest extent of law all those involved in these crimes. All criminals must be identified and appropriate legal actions must be taken against all the political parties who have played any role in these criminal activities in the last twenty five years.
We need to bring peace back to Karachi. People should be able to go out without any fear of retribution. A bold political leadership is needed to tackle the menace of terrorism in Karachi.

PPP is not serious and it does not have the will or expertise to bail out Sind from its current crises. The same old dirty politics introduced during the time of Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto will continue, historically Sind Rural is the stronghold of PPP and in this part of the province only wild boar continue to thrive.

Just wondering, who can kill their party member, as they were in government with their own will.
