Government ready to hold dialogue with militants: Chaudhary Nisar

QUETTA: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said that the government was ready to hold a dialogue with militants to come up with a political solution of issues.
Addressing a press conference after chairing a high level meeting in Quetta on Sunday, June 16, he said that the government believed in dialogue and that it was determined to speak to those who were ready to negotiate. “We cannot hold dialogue with those who are not ready for talk”, he asserted.
The interior minister strongly condemned Quetta's suicide bombings and the attack at the Quaid-e-Azam residency in Ziarat. “Our religion does not allow us to target women and children”, he said. He also mentioned that both Baloch and Pashtoon cultures and values forbid from attacking vulnerable classes of society.
Khan said an important meeting regarding Balochistan was to be held on June 20 in Islamabad to discuss the ways and means to of finding political solutions of issues relating to the militancy-hit province.
“We will announce the policy regarding Balochistan to restore the trust of people”, he concluded and walked out without answering the questions of journalists.

It was an unfortunate and sad day when Quaid's residency in Ziarat Balochistan was attacked and ransacked. we can reconstruct the building, but some of very valuable furniture that remained in the use of Quaid and some rare photographs of the nation's father were impossible to resurrect.
Unfortunately, this act was carried out by a Pakistani who has grown disillusioned with the state and has taken to violence to regain his rights, though wrong this route may be. Such a Pakistani has struck at the routes of this nation by attacking the memorials of the great Quaid. The state needs to act affirmatively and deal with such challenges in right earnest. Balochistan has been allowed to remain in trouble for a decade, and this situation has come to a boiling point. It is pointless at the moment to blame anyone institution or person for this mess. We should act swiftly and decisively to stop further drift of Blochistan towards the brink.

Politicians should call a spade a spade and pass a resolution declaring BLA and its supporters as terrorists. Musharraf was right you cannot negotiate with people who donot accept Pakistan. National interest is sacrosanct and anyone who is an enemy of Pakistan is an enemy of every Pakistani.

Mr. Nisar wants to have a dialogue with lashkar-e-jhangvi and thinks he can convince them that
shias are not "kafir". Either he is very innocent or really wants to ignore the whole issue and wants this massacre to continue. I think naming that outfit in open and calling them evil would be a good start for PMLN.

If the Punjab government wants, it can eliminate Lashkar Jhangvi quite easily. But the problem is that this government has this gang's sympathizers in its midst. Remember, the news sometime back of a Punjab minister interacting with the gang? Since the prime minister is the Punjab CM's brother, I am sure the PM, too, is inclined to look at the gang sympathetically. After the carnage the gang committed, the interior minister wants to talk to it. What will the government do, if the gang does something like this again? Offer it the prime minister-ship or Mr. Khan's job?

Yes, let's hold "dialogue" with anyone who challenges the Pakistani state that way we can establish peace when Pakistan erupts from this anarchy. May I ask, are you going hold dialogue with? there are thousands of militants in Pakistan all with different agenda's of their own? what will dialogue get you? that's right nothing.

They are the muderers of 20 or more people still our government wants to negotiate, this shows how weak the government of Pakistan is, inspite of full mandate backing in the very recent election. Why to negotiate with those who have been badly rejected by the people of pakistan who gave the government the right to negotiate with terrorist. Are these fanatics not terrorist or the terrorist are only those who kill ploiticians and lawyers.
No need to negotiate, they are not fugitive they are still mongering around, the government knows who they are, they need to be captured and given examplery punishment. Wake up Mr Interior minister, before it is too late and the whole country get engulfed in this fire game.

The Interior Minister should talk from the position of strength, talks with militants who destroyed Quaid's Residency in Ziarat is totally out of question, it was an attack on Pakistan's doctrine, instead of bowing down the Interior Ministry should order immediate ruthless action against the perperators, he should have ordered all forces including Para Military forces under him to comb down & find the culprits, we will not accept anything less on this.

How simpleton our interior minister & PML N is! As if they will engage in dialogue with the killers & miscreants & once the militants are tired they may (or may not) transform into peace loving citizens.
If the govt pardons all those killers, would that be justice to the thousands who lost their lives to those barbarians? & who are they fooling when they make common people believe that this cancer can be treated with simple measures. This malignancy can only be treated surgically with an stern hand. Please do it now before it is not curable!

There are many noble races in Pakistan. Baloch and the Pashtoon are not the only ones that do not attack women and children. Please remember this fact. In future please give statements to unify the country and not placate/pacify a certain race. Salams to Pakistan

The same old template statement by this minister as always given by the previous one. Nothing is going to change even if any other government comes. All these will be treated as shareef patriotic Pakistanis. The previous President was very right in treating TTP and its allies and also other traitors. By such aggressive policy USA has brought peace and tranquility at least to its fellow citizens. The minister should sit down in a lonely atmosphere and think which solution is better ---- military or discussion with illiterates.

When the ENEMY slaps you -- you don't ask for 'talk' -- that is talking from the position of weakness, it will only EMBOLDEN the enemy -- you slap him back ten times harder -- and THEN ask -- like to sit up and talk -- that is talking from the position of strength -- and only then the enemy will sit down and talk - not before.
The traitor enemy is testing the PML(N) -- especially the mettle of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. This is no time for inviting "negotiations" -- this is the time for Nawaz Sharif to talk tough and hit back real hard at the same time keeping the door open for 'talks'.
