LAHORE, June 19: Historical monuments can be destroyed but they stand high in the hearts and minds of those who adore them.

This was stated by Amjad Abbas Magsi while speaking at a seminar organised by the Character Building Society of the Pakistan Study Centre on Wednesday.

Magsi suggested Balochistan’s political government and security forces should adopt a comprehensive joint policy to tackle terrorism in light of its international and domestic relevance.

He said the recent attacks in Quetta were an attempt to sabotage political development in the province.

During an interactive session, students strongly condemned the attack on Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Ziarat residency. They said natural resources of the province along with Gwadar Port were the main sources of international intervention.

The seminar participants declared the attack on Quaid’s residency an assault on identity of Pakistan and also to create mistrust between the Baloch and Pashtun population of the province. The participants said the attack on women students was an attack on the already-underdeveloped province.

The Pakistan Study Centre’s MPhil and PhD students and faculty members passed a resolution condemning the heinous acts.

RESULTS: The University of Punjab Examinations Department declared the results of BS in Computer Science first year second annual examination for 2011 and first annual examination for 2012.
