KARACHI, June 27: A senior lawyer who had suffered wounds in the last month gun attack that had left his son dead passed away on Thursday during treatment at a private hospital, the Baghdadi police said.

They said that Ali Jan Bangash, 65, had sustained three bullet wounds, two in his head when he had been attacked along with his son in a car near ICI Bridge on May 3. His son, Shakil Jan, also a lawyer, had died the same day.

The senior lawyer had been admitted to the JPMC before being shifted to a private hospital where he died during treatment on Thursday.

The lawyers were targeted on their way from their home in Gulbai to an Imambargah in Kharadar, the police said.
